THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF STATE HAS UPDATED THEIR WEB PRESENCE

If you’re familiar with the Florida Department of State’s website (also known as Sunbiz), you may be surprised the next time you visit www.sunbiz.org! On November 15th, 2016, the website was updated with a completely new look.

If you are a business owner in Florida, Sunbiz is used most commonly used to do one of the following things:

  • Start a new domestic or register a foreign business in Florida
  • Search the Florida Department of State’s records for businesses that are currently registered in Florida
  • File your Annual Report that’s due every year between January 1st – May 1st
  • Create a fictitious name or DBA
  • Amend or update information that’s currently listed on your business listing (change the name of your existing business, update addresses, add or remove an officer, etc.)

The items listed above are just the most commonly used features that we use here at Licenses, Etc. Because the website has recently been updated, the Department of State has advised that you take a moment to navigate the website and get accustomed with the new features and search options. To ease the transition period, the State has provided THIS LINK which will help familiarize you with the changes.

As always, if you have any questions, please contact us at (239) 777-1028 or by e-mail atsupport@licensesetc.com and a member from our team will be happy to assist you.

Thank you,

Your Licenses, Etc. Team
