Message From the Gals

Happy November! The holidays are almost upon us. But before we hit that fun time of year, there's much going on in the Florida licensing world that you should be aware of.

First, the CILB has approved a new license - Certified Tower Specialty Contractor for those wishing to construct cell, water and similar structures without a CGC license. This license goes into effect November 10, 2010. With it comes new application forms, which means...

The CILB has been discussing for months that they'll start enforcing the Credit Score Rule that's been on the books since February 2008. The rule has been in effect since then, but they have not been enforcing it. At each meeting, they discuss adding it to the next release of application forms. With new forms coming out to add the Tower Specialty category, the rule might be enforced as early as November or December. If you know your credit score is below 660, you may be able to avoid having to get a bond by getting your application submitted NOW.

The Board has also been discussing changes to experience requirements for Division I licenses. Instead of having to show experience as a "foreman," they may require experience as a "project manager." This may be a matter of semantics, but it could also affect your ability to get this type of license. For now, the rule remains as "foreman," so if you think this change might affect you, we can still get you in with foreman experience.

With the beginning of 2011's approach comes many business and license related renewals and updates. Be sure to stay on top of them with our Business & License Maintenance Services. At the least, subscribe to our new service, LE Alerts, to be notified of anything pertaining to your business. Contact any of us for more information.

Many of our clients are already seeing great results from Lisa's social media marketing efforts. See examples here. Contact her at 239.963.5369 to see what she can do for you and your business.

Finally, if you're looking for a good gift for the reader on your list, Kristie's second book, Purpose, releases next month. You can order both of her books (signed) at www.ReadOurWrites.com, with free shipping for ordering the set. Her first book, Promise, won first place at the Royal Palm Literary Awards! It's also now available at all bookstores and even internationally at The Book Depository.

If you're interested in the Tower Specialty license, need to get your application submitted before the Credit Score Rule becomes enforced or have any other questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Thank you and have a Notorious November!

There are so many web pages out there today that not even Google knows exactly how many. With many of those pages a part of social media, the number of conversations taking place on the interwebz at any given time is astronomical. Beating the Marketing Drum

In today's economy, competition is fierce and customer service can make or break a business. Happy customers tell, on average, 3 people about their positive experience. Unhappy customers tell, on average, 10 people about their unsatisfactory experience. That could potentially be 10 lost customers or 3 new customers based... <Read More>.
