The Department of Business and Professional Regulation recently launched the “Report Unlicensed Activity” app for mobile devices. This allows people to report unlicensed activity anywhere anytime.

As all licensed contractors know, it takes a lot to get licensed. Exams, credit checks, background information, fees, insurances, continuing education, etc, etc, etc. They also know that it is the right way to do things. The legal way. The state of Florida has been cracking down on unlicensed activity with sting operation, harsher rules and now this app.

Anyone can now download the app to their mobile device. That means that while people are out and about they can send information in real time to the state of Florida. The state believes this will be an effective way of educating the public and regulating the professions.
