Construction Technology Software That You May Want To Incorporate In Your Business

As a contractor in this industry, you are faced with planning and communication obstacles and what better way to overcome these by incorporating technology in your daily process to better your business and customer experience.

We recently came across 3 software companies and tech providers who have recently announced new and updated products designed to help contractors improve their efficiency and manage their projects. We couldn’t wait to share these with you.  They are:

  1. Built Technologies

Trade Partner Management, which was recently introduced by Built Technologies, is a suite of tools that helps construction industry stakeholders identify, evaluate, and verify their trade partners.

According to Built Technologies, the Trade Partner Management suite helps customers keep projects on budget and on schedule by reducing the risk of non-compliant vendors. Through its integration with other construction management tools, the company claims that it can help owners, general contractors, and property developers identify the ideal partners for their projects.

  2. Trimble

The construction industry’s only cloud-based platform for Microsoft customers is now available through the Trimble Construction Cloud.

The platform, which is powered by Microsoft Azure, enables project teams and other stakeholders to connect and manage their data and processes across multiple construction projects. It also provides a variety of construction management tools, such as project management, estimating, finance, and human capital management.

  3. EarthCam

EarthCam, a webcam service provider, announced the release of its new VR Site Tour app. The app, which is designed to make it easier for contractors and owners to visualize and communicate their interior progress, is now more intuitive and faster.

The company claims that its VR Site Tour app is designed for small-to medium-sized construction sites. It takes advantage of a standard 360 degree camera and EarthCam’s environmental sensors to capture interactive images.

The app quickly converts a day’s worth of photos into 360 images and syncs them with site plans, 3D BIM models, and CAD drawings. It also allows users to track live progress, which is said to reduce the need for onsite visits and improve the efficiency of the project.

We hope these 3 recommendations can aid in the efficiency and communication within your Florida Contractor business.  If you do end up using any of these, please feel free to share your experiences with us.
