COMPUTER BASED TESTING

Since November of 2012, the DBPR has slowly moved select trade exams to computer based testing. This allows applicants to schedule their exams quickly and also offers a greater availability for locations at which an applicant can take them. GRANDFATHERING DEADLINE FOR CONTRACTORS FAST APPROACHING!

In May of 2012 for construction candidates and 2013 for electrical license holders, Governor Rick Scott approved House Bills which allows Registered Contractors in the State of Florida to “grandfather” their Registered Contractor’s license into a State Certified license. The deadline for contractors to request this is fast approaching and it is not certain yet
